Disaster Risk Reduction and Emergency Preparedness Specialist

The DRR and Emergency Preparedness Specialist will lead IFRC's efforts to strengthen community resilience and emergency response systems in Asia-Pacific. Responsibilities: developing and implementing DRR strategies; conducting risk assessments and early warning system design; coordinating with National Societies on emergency preparedness; managing disaster response simulations; integrating climate adaptation into DRR programming; and building capacity of local partners. Requirements: Master's degree in Disaster Management, Emergency Management, Climate Change, or related field; 7+ years of experience in DRR and humanitarian emergencies; knowledge of Sendai Framework and Sphere Standards; experience in emergency operations and logistics; strong report writing and donor liaison skills.
